TERRA (6.30) Wings panoramic, proj. 2: Roberto TIBALDI: (Italy)

EARTH. "Earth has music for those who listen ". This sentence by William Shakespeare summarises well the content of this short but intense multivision, where the forms of the rocks interact with ancestral sounds of the "Ceremonial" of the Maestro Patrizio Esposito.

PORTRAIT D’OISANS (7.00) Wings panoramic, proj. 2: Pascal SAULAY: (France)

Portrait of Oisans. Impressions, words of the protagonists, walkers of large spaces, simple sentences for transmitting a privileged relation with a particular territory. From Emparis highlands to the Vallon of Bonnepierre, going through the Meje, in the heart of Ecrins National Park.

LA STORIA DI CATERINA (9.00) Wings panoramic, proj. 2: Domenico DRAGO & Francesco LOPERGOLO (Italy)

The very ancient traps, called "TONNARE" find their roots in a past of traditions that seem to be out of time, influencing the culture of the shore populations.
It is the life of the men that work for about three months a year in this kind of fishing out of the industrial era.
The typical day of a "tonnaroto" is spent entirely on the sea, a hard and severe sea.
Onboard the huge wooden scows, not changed in all this time, made waterproof by thick layers of black pitch, stretch and keep efficient the diabolical deadly trap for the great swimmers of the sea.
The fishing of the Tuna is still nowadays connected to rituals and superstitions that don't lack in surprise and fascinate the modern observer.

ALBA SULLA CITTÀ IN DISTINTA (7.00) panoramic single screen (EXE): Carlo CONTI: (Italy)

Sunrise on the indisticnt city. A poetic show about the new suburban quarters of the city, in their miscellany of services and structures, houses and rural memories of the not far past, that make our cities nostalgically not easy to distinguish.

ALBA SULLA CITTÀ IN DISTINTA

6 MAGGIO 1976... (11.00) single screen (EXE): Claudio TUTI: (Italy)

In Friuli the land shook.
Afterwards, nothing was like before: the land, property, people. In one minute the past was cancelled and the present stopped, but with an almost stubborn courage, people started again to live, hope, reconstruct, believe in a possible future.
15th September 1976. In Friuli the land shook, again. It was then that the Friuli people thought that not only their present, but also their future were destroyed.
Today we know that it was not so.

ANTARCTIC ADVENTURE (8.00) Watchout panoramic, proj. 3: Mal PADGETT: (Australia)

Antarctic Adventure was the last exhibit seen by visitors to a permanent exhibition in Hobart, Tasmania, focusing on the world's most intriguing continent. The main part of the exhibition was purely science and facts deliberately written with no emotion. The original 28 slide projector multivision projected the emotion and beauty of Antarctica on a screen 15m wide and 4m high with a six track audio mix. Seven hours of interviews were edited and mixed with a beautiful original music score from Dale Cornelius. Terry Hope shot extra stills to go with the images supplied from the government and specialist photo agencies. The original show was made entirely in Photoshop and output directly to a film recorder - no rostrum camera - with this version converted to Watchout from the original files.

Voice over: English
Subtitles: German, Italian

REG GRUNDY (8.00) Watchout panoramic, proj. 3: Mal PADGETT: (Australia)

Reg Grundy is the famous name behind the well known TV dramas 'Neighbors' and 'Prisoner' and game shows '$ale of the Century' and 'Scattergories'. In his retirement from TV production Reg pursued his love of photography, particularly of wildlife from all around the planet. His work was published as a magnificent coffee table book and launched throughout Australia in 2005 as a touring exhibition. A multi screen wall of LCD monitors featured his stunning photography set to an original soundtrack. Mal Padgett programmed the original presentation (which was designed and produced by Australian Business Theatre) and is delighted to re-present it as a widescreen version at Painting with Light with the kind permission of Reg Grundy.
